Signature of Susan B. Anthony

Signature of Susan B. Anthony cut from the bottom of a type written letter.
Wouldn't it be great to know what the rest of this "gossipy letter" said?

FIRST DAY OF ISSUE COVER SIGNED BY MINT DIRECTOR
STELLA B. HACKEL ON JULY 2, 1979, THE FIRST DAY OF ISSUE

July 2, 1979 was selected as the official release date of the Susan B. Anthony Dollar. On this date, ceremonies were held in Rochester, New York, home of Miss Anthony. Many celebrities were present at the ceremonies, including the then Director of the Mint Stella B. Hackel. This is a first day of issue cover signed and dated by Ms. Hackel at the release ceremonies.

Here is a set sold by the U. S. Mint at the ANA Convention held in St. Louis, Missouri July 28 - August 2, 1979. The set consists of a card with pertinent information titled "The Old Gives Way to the New", a 1978 Ike Dollar, and a 1979 Anthony Dollar. It is all contained in a colorful envelope. This envelope was signed by the then Mint Director Stella B. Hackel.

A Personal Certification From
Frank Gasparro

During my tenure as Chief Engraver of the United States Mint, I produced designs for the four coins displayed in this limited edition set.

This special set includes Proof strikings of the first year of issue of the Memorial reverse of the Lincoln cent, the reverse of the Kennedy half dollar, the obverse and reverse of the Eisenhower dollar, and the obverse and reverse of the Susan B. Anthony dollar.

I guarantee that only 1,000 of these sets will ever be personally certified by me, and that of the limited edition of 1,000 sets, this is set No. 450.
